Other events in the House of Parliament

The House of Parliament is not only where the Hungarian National Assembly operates; it is a shared cultural treasure and architectural monument recognised by UNESCO. While it is the shrine of legislation and policy-making, it is also a cultural symbol and, indeed, the symbol of the country.

Expertise is shared with visitors in a variety of memorable ways not only on Hungarian history and the history of democracy, but also on the power of the cultural traditions that remain with us and shape us even today.

The House of Parliament regularly hosts temporary exhibitions, conferences, meet-and-greets, commemorative events and other cultural programmes. As part of the Cultural Heritage Days event each year, we open the doors to the House of Parliament and offer visitors a glimpse of the building's rarely seen treasures through special tours.
